What we read
The free audit needs one thing: the role you want to be found for. Tap it from the list, or type it — the score, the diagnosis and the rewritten headline are rendered on the spot, with no account, no email and no card. Paste the headline you have on LinkedIn today and it scores that exact line instead of the typical one for your role, reading every word of it back to you before it shows a number.
A profile link is accepted and never required. LinkedIn blocks tools from opening profiles, so we never fetch one: all we read from a pasted link is the job title in its own address, and we say so on the page rather than pretending to have read the profile. Your name is echoed back in your browser only — it is never sent with the rewrite.
If you go on to buy the $1 review, we then ask for the source text: your current About section, the experience bullets you want reworded and your current skills list. All of it is optional — paste what you have and we work from the rest, leaving a bracketed slot wherever a specific is yours to fill rather than inventing one.
Everything is pasted by you, and the score and rewrites are driven by that text — so paste it as it actually reads today, warts and all. A thin or empty About isn't a problem; it's usually where the rewrite has the most to add.
How the score works
The 0–100 visibility score is computed arithmetic, not an opinion. It counts signals that are either present in your text or not — so the same text always scores the same, and the free score and the $1 score are produced by the same scorer, on the same four components, with the same point weights. Paste the same profile twice and you get the same number twice.
How many of the recruiter-search terms for your target role appear in your text — tools, platforms, domains, specialisms. Counted, not estimated.
Is the role title front-loaded, is the headline a usable length, how many hard keywords does it carry — minus 3 points per buzzword.
Length band, first-person opening, the role named early, keyword density, and whether any real figures appear.
Per bullet you paste: does it open with a strong verb, does it carry a figure, is it a usable length.
The score measures your text against how recruiter search behaves — it isn't a number pulled from inside LinkedIn, and nobody can give you that. Treat it as a before-and-after gauge for your own edits: it moves when your words move, and only then.
Anything you weren't asked for is left out of the total, not scored zero. The free audit sees your headline, so it is marked out of 60 — keyword match and headline strength — and says so under the number. Paste an About section and experience bullets with the $1 rewrite and those two components join the total. You are never docked for text you never gave us, and every readout shows the sub-scores so you can add the number up yourself.

$1is charged once, for the full rewrite. There’s no account, no trial that converts, and nothing to cancel. Want a second profile rewritten, or the same one again after you switch target roles? That’s another $1, whenever you choose.
To be plain about the upsell: there isn’t one. $1 is the only price you are ever quoted for your own rewrite, and it buys the complete thing above. There is no cheaper cut-down version to pick between and no add-on waiting once a rewrite has been delivered — your review page sells you nothing at all. One charge, no subscription, nothing recurring, nothing to cancel. (Buying for a group rather than yourself? /for-teams sells a prepaid ten-seat pack of the larger every-role rewrite — self-serve, codes emailed instantly. Buying one review at a time is still the cheapest way in.)
14-day money-back guarantee
Read your rewrite, and if it isn’t worth $1 to you, email [email protected] within 14days and we refund the full amount. No questions, no reason needed, no form to fill in, and nothing to send back — you keep the rewrites we already delivered. It’s a one-time $1 charge, so there is nothing to cancel either.
Delivery
After payment you land on your own review page. It fills in as the rewrites are written — usually two to four minutes — and every block has a copy button, because pasting into LinkedIn is the only step left. You also get an email receipt with a link back to that page, so you can close the tab safely.
What it isn't
We'd rather be blunt about the edges than have you feel misled after paying:
- No file editing. Standout doesn't open, format or return résumé documents. No PDFs, no .docx, no CV templates — LinkedIn text blocks only.
- No account access. We never ask for your LinkedIn password and never connect to your account. There is nothing to authorise.
- No auto-posting. Nothing is published or edited on your profile. Every change is one you paste and save yourself.
- No human reviewers. No coach, no call, no queue. That's exactly why it costs $1 and arrives in minutes instead of days.
- No job guarantees. We fix the part you control — the words. We can't create demand for a role nobody is hiring for.
If something breaks
Paid and didn't get your rewrites, or got something clearly wrong? Email [email protected] with your review page link. A person reads that inbox and will re-run the review or refund it — no argument, no form to fill in. The same address handles refunds under the 14-day money-back guarantee above.
